Umit leads CFGI’s Transaction Advisory Services practice in the UK, bringing 15 years of financial due diligence experience to private equity, portfolio company, and corporate clients. He has developed a particular sector specialism across industrials and business services, advising clients through the full transaction lifecycle from initial diligence through to post-acquisition bolt-ons. Umit is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS) and holds a Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance.
Prior to joining CFGI, Umit was a Partner in EY’s Private Equity advisory team, where he led financial due diligence mandates for large-cap PE clients on complex, cross-border transactions spanning multiple jurisdictions. His experience at EY gave him deep insight into the commercial and financial dynamics of high-value international deals, as well as the rigour and analytical discipline that institutional investors demand from their diligence advisors. At CFGI, Umit applies that large-cap expertise to the mid-market, where senior-led, partner-attentive service is most valued by deal teams operating under time pressure.
